Cosmina Amariei works at the European Capital Markets Institute (ECMI) since Nov 2013, as part of the Financial Markets & Institutions Unit in CEPS.

Areas of expertise: monetary policy & transmission mechanism, financial integration & stability, asset/fund managers, retail & institutional investors, trading & post-trading market infrastructure, sustainable finance, fintech.

Responsibilities: economic & financial analysis, quantitative & qualitative research, policy & regulatory dashboard, stakeholders' engagement, event coordination, fundraising activities, planning of board/annual general meetings.

Legislative dossiers: CMU, MiFID 2/MiFIR, UCITS, AIFMD, PRIIPS, PEPP, IDD, Solvency 2, IORP2, EMIR etc. 

Academic credentials: MSc in International Economics and European Affairs (Bucharest University of Economic Studies); Exchange Programme in International Finance (University of Leuven - Campus Brussels); BSc in Business/Managerial Economics (Babeş-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca).

In the past, she worked at National Bank of Romania and Erste Group AG.  In 2020, she was a Member of the Juding Panel for the ESG Investing Awards, organised by Global Markets Media.
